Bummer
Well I just checked my laptop, and my firewire cable definately doesn't fit anywhere. So I can't make a video. :( But I think I will make a slideshow instead, with music and a conglomeration of photos. If I get permission from the club president, is it ok if I use pics from the website, as well as ones I have taken? That would be great. And then some slides would have text on them, giving information about the club, and maybe some quotes from members. I mean, I could make a brochure or pamphlet, but I'd prefer to make something that moves. It's more interesting, more fun to make, anyway.

Yes, this too would work fine. Slideshow presentations are becoming more and more the "cool" way to present information; again, look at YouTube for ideas.
And yes, I think it would be fine to use pictures from the website. You could create the same credits page at the end.
So the question is, Where would you see this slideshow being presentated? At a freshman event on campus? etc. And could part of your project be writing a letter to whoever is in charge of that event to explain why you think they should play the slideshow and requesting them to do so? The letter wouldn't be long, but it would add text to your project.
Yes, I think I would want this to probably be played at some freshman event, or it could even be posted to the Equestrian Club or VT website. That way people wouldn't have to watch it, but if they're interested in finding out more info about the club, the slideshow would be a great resource.
And that's a good idea about the letter; I will have to think of who I will write it to.
